Our group tours travel specific dates in the year and are open to anyone who are interested in travelling to Jamaica with other like-minded adventurers. How far ahead should I be planning to book a trip?
We recommend that you book anywhere between 3 months to a year before you want to travel. However, last minute tours are possible up to a day before travel date.
How can I make a booking?
To make a booking, select the trip that you wish to do, choose date, individual or group registration, sign up the form, do a deposit or make full payment and submit the form. An email will follow with login details and confirmation of registration.
How safe is it to travel in Jamaica? What measure does Tropical Trips Jamaica take to ensure traveler's safety?
This is a very common concern, but Jamaica is actually a quite safe destination for travelers. While there are incidences and crime, it is very rare against travelers. With that said, caution must be taken whenever you travel, we recommend wallets in front pockets for men and caution with backpacks.
Our team leaders are the company's on the ground representatives, and they are trained to assess and address any safety concerns and to make a decision accordingly. Your safety always comes first.
Do you recommend travel insurance?
Yes. Our adventures are centered around adventureous activities, we require that all clients carry at least a minimum level of emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance. In addition, we also highly recommend travel insurance that cover personal liability, trip cancellation/interruption, baggage damage etc.
Where do we stay?
Accommodations vary based on the adventure from local accommodations to mid-range hotels to comfortable cabins for hike trips in the Blue Mountain for example. All accommodations are reputable, safe, comfortable and clean.
What type of transportation is used on your adventure tours?
The transportation can range from buses, vans, 4X4 vehicles, boats, raft, horses, trekking or a combination. The mode depends on the adventure; please refer to the specific tour for specific details.
Can I organise my own private group?
You sure can. Simply contact us and we work with you to change one of our itineraries or offer a fully customized adventure.
Who are the adventure guides for your trips?
While our group tours are accompanied by a Travel Companion and guides, our Private Tours typically use experienced local guides for day tours, transportation, activities etc.
Can you accommodate allergies and food preferences?
Absolutely! Kindly let us know on your trip registration in the "Additional Info" and we'll make sure your meal needs are met.
Do you give discounts for groups or early bookings?
Yes we do! Group discounts range from 5% up to 15% and are applied based on the trip. Early bird discounts are 5% and member discounts up to $100usd for registered adventurers are also available.
Do your adventures include airfare to and from Jamaica?
It is not possible to include international airfare in our prices as travellers come from all over the world to begin our tours.

What is the weather like in Jamaica?
The weather in Jamaica is always vacation friendly, averaging temperature between 80 °F and 90 °F (27 °FCelsius-29 °Celsius). September to early November has the most rainfall, July and August is warmest with the least number of rainfalls; December to April is generally known as the dry season and for most travellers the best time to visit.
What type of electric plugs do they have in Jamaica?
Jamaica runs on 110v in general, some hotels however, carry a 220v.

We do not give price breakdowns. Our contract with our partner accommodations stipulates a non-disclosure of prices. The way we see it, our job is to give our clients the ideal vacation at the best possible price. The traveller's job is to decide on a trip that best suit their needs and at the price they can afford.
