Travel through lush countryside, explore local villages, taste the amazing Blue Mountain coffee, go river rafting, and so much more! This Tropical Island Tours end with a relaxing morning on the beach, and some last minute shopping for souvenirs.

All are welcome on the Tropical Island Tours - whether you sign up as a solo traveller, with your significant other, friends, family members, or a small to large group. We will do all the travel arrangements once you're in Jamaica, including roommate matching for travellers riding solo.

Detailed Jamaica Island Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kingston or Montego Bay, Jamaica (D)

Arrive in Kingston at the Norman Manley International Airport or Montego Bay at the Sangster's International Airport. If you purchased airport transfer, your driver will be waiting for you at arrivals to transfer you to your Kingston accommodation.

In the evening, you will meet your fellow travellers at the Trip Orientation meet up. Here you will also meet your Travel Companion (tour guide).

Day 2: Blue Mountains Day Trip (B, L)

After breakfast, the group will enjoy a scenic drive from Kingston to the Blue and John Crow Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the sixth highest Peak in the Caribbean. The area boasts very spectacular views, and diverse flora and fauna not seen anywhere else in the world.

This day excursion is nature at its best, with fun adventures at every stop. Activities for the day include short hiking trails that lead to a secret waterfall and a coffee farm tour to experience what's said to be one of the best coffees in the world.

The group will get first-hand insight into how this great tasting Blue Mountain coffee is produced and how the cool misty air 3,000-feet high contributes to the coffee’s unique taste. At the end of the tour, you'll be able to savour a delicious cup for yourself. Don’t forget to purchase some to take home for family and friends, as it may very well be the best coffee in the world! In the afternoon, we will stop for a succulent Jamaican lunch and a scenic drive back to Kingston.

This is an amazing experience that you will remember for a lifetime (breakfast and lunch included).

Day 3: Ocho Rios Day Tour (B)

The Ocho Rios day tour begins with a stop at Konoko Falls and Gardens in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Konoko is an Arawak word which means rainforest. The property has a strong influence of Tainos, who were believed to be settlers in this area. Learn about Jerk cuisine, climb the 600-feet cascading waterfalls, feed exotic birds, and learn about medicinal and culinary properties of trees and flowers in the area.

Our next stop is the Green Grotto Cave. A local tour guide will introduce you to the cave and take you on an hour walking tour to explore the caves.

On the drive back to Kingston, reminisce on the rich Jamaican history that was learned. Take away nothing but good memories from the day spent with nature.

Day 4: Visit a Maroon Village (B, L)

Today’s adventure takes us deep in the Blue Mountains to a Maroon Village. Learn about the Maroon people and their significance to Jamaica’s rich culture and heritage.

The Maroons are descendants from West African slaves brought to Jamaica by the Spanish. They escaped slavery and fled to the isolated mountains where they established their autonomy.

They established their freedom approximately 200 years before Jamaica’s independence and over 50 years before the British abolished slave trade.

Day 5: River Rafting and Natural Springs (B, L)

Today, join the group for a full-day of sightseeing fun and adventure. The day begins with a scenic drive through the lush countryside to where the rafting begins. Imagine yourself relaxing in nature while floating downstream, an unforgettable experience awaits you and your group.

A delicious Jamaican lunch will be provided. Relax by the river, take a swim, and enjoy yourself as life is meant for living.

In the afternoon, the group will visit the world famous Blue Lagoon - Jamaica’s largest spring fed lagoon that sits on a deep extinct volcano.

The evening is yours to do with as you please. Spend it socializing with your fellow group members, listen to the birds sing in the distance. Regardless of which activities you choose, life is good when you're in Jamaica!

Day 6: Visit Local School / Orphanage in Morning & Reach Falls in Afternoon (B)

After breakfast, we’ll head out to visit a local school or orphanage in Portland. Sit in on a lesson, donate school supplies, or play educational games with kids. This will be an unforgettable experience in Portland for both you and the children.

After your morning experience, we head to a refreshing waterfall in the lush tropical rainforest.

You can swim with fish in the river, escape into caves under the falls, and have the falls massage your aching body - a classic way to end a perfect day.

Day 7: Free Morning at Beach & Afternoon Transfer to Kingston (B)

Today we have a free morning. You can choose to spend it at the beach or rent a surf board and take a lesson for a couple of bucks. In the afternoon, we will drive to the capital city of Jamaica.

Day 8: Jamaica Island Tour Ends (B)

The Jamaica Tropical Island Tour ends after breakfast. If you purchased airport transfers through us, you are picked up at your appointed time and transferred to the Norman Manley International Airport.
